Is there an alternative to anchoring a gazebo other than drilling into the concrete?

Can you answer tiggerme262’s question about Canopies?:

I have a gazebo that I want to setup on my patio, but I do not want to anchor bolts into the concrete. Is there another way to anchor it without drilling into concrete?

Canopies Feedback: If you want to be safe, and keep the thing around through the hurricane season, anchor it. But you’ll need a hammer drill, one that can drill into concrete (it takes only seconds). Rent one instead, it’ll save you the $100 to buy one that you’ll only use once. Use a typical 1/2″ concrete bit, and buy lag shields and bolts (ask the home center to show you) to anchor it down. You’ll laugh when you see how easy it is.

Canopies Feedback: Polyurethane construction adhesive will stand up to the application and provide a lot of hold if you have enough surface area for it to adher to. I would use concrete expansion anchors drilled into the concrete to get a stronger hold. High winds can produce very high strains.

Canopies Feedback: band iron from your local hardware store attached from the gazebo to the house, or into the ground with spikes. Since you asked how I would do it, I’ll tell you that too. Construction glue around the perimeter of the gazebo. Any wind strong enough to lift that is going to tear up the gazebo, no matter how it is anchored.

Canopies Feedback: I purchased four sand bags at Lowe’s. Put one on each corner.

Canopies Feedback: Use decorative blocks and strap them together with steel straps. Or you can use sand bags.

Canopies Feedback: contact your local weight watchers and see if any of there members have alot of free time and have them sit in your gazebo, not even the strongest wind gust can dislodge a heavyset group of people sitting on a gazebo

Canopies Feedback: You can place concrete pillars (short ones) at each corner and anchor to those, but unless the thing is anchored to something immobile, there is a chance of the wind taking it no matter what.
