Vinyl Gazebos — The Fifth Element
A personal garden is something everyone wants to protect, improve and care about (as well as show off with it), but it is rarely wise to spend your time out there when the weather’s elements show their teeth. While your garden, with the right preparation, is more or less unaffected by the usual forces of nature, you have to take care to protect yourself if the urge to spend time outside is so big. Of course gazebos primary purpose is to provide that, but what if you can’t afford the time consuming design, building and maintenance of a wooden and a metal gazebo? And what if you’re definitely interested in something more than pop up and first up gazebos? Enter vinyl gazebos!
Durable and designed to please the eye, the vinyl gazebos come in variety of styles, with the most popular being the Victorian look. Using white paint to fake the look of a traditional wooden gazebo or black to resemble a metal gazebo, vinyl gazebos definitely doesn’t come short when aesthetics are mentioned.
Vinyl gazebos might cost more than those made of wood, but in the long run you’re saving money on maintenance. Unlike wood for example, good quality vinyl does not need to be weatherproofed or repainted from time to time, although the use of gazebo covers is advised. But practically, it is impervious to the elements. If not misused the vinyl gazebos won’t fade, rot, crack, rust, twist and so on — its structural integrity would remain intact.
The common thing between vinyl gazebos and the rest are the asphalt roof shingles. Between black and gray shingles, the overall look of the gazebo changes from a more delicate to a more grounding effect, respectively. On another note, it must be said that by default, up close, vinyl gazebos may appear artificial. One good method of making a vinyl gazebo look more natural and blend better with its surrounding is by accenting it with flowering plants. By hanging plants from moldings or from trellis walls on and around the gazebo along with the use of real wood furniture, painted similarly to the gazebo, you can fit it better in the environment.

A&E Systems Slide-Awning fabric replacement, Video 1 of 2.

This video shows removal of an A&E systems slide awning from a 36′ fifth wheel with 3 slides. There is some prep before sliding the awning off like the video shows, but it’s pretty easy. All you have to do for prep is to unroll the extra fabric and pin the roller so you have access to the entire width of fabric. Once its pinned, you just have to ‘un-pinch’ a little keyway from the factory. When the factory installs the fabric on the RV, they pinch a little track so as to not allow the fabric to slid out while going down the road. To fix this, you silmply insert a screwdriver into the track and twist where the installer pinched the track. A small chainsaw chain file is then used to de-burr the keyway and surrounding track so you won’t tear the new awning. Before installing the new fabric, it’s recommended that you clean the waterproof membrane material with some warm water with mild detergent. When the new fabric is installed, you simply re-pinch the track so your new fabric doesn’t work it’s way out of the track when driving down the road. Entire job took 2 people about 15 min’s per slide start to finish. www.rv-motorhome-answers.com is where I purchased the fabric, the owner is very nice.

Screened Gazebos Are Great For A Picnic
A beautiful setting in a large backyard can be enhanced with a screened gazebo. This type of structure stands alone in a park or garden. The beautiful gazebo in the movie “The Sound of Music” stood on the beautiful Austrian estate that provided the setting for the movie. A gazebo is usually surrounded on all sides by the gorgeous scenery, and the roof protects those inside while viewing the panorama outside. The screened gazebo offers great protection from the elements without obstructing the view.
The screened gazebo will protect those inside from mosquitoes and flies that might trouble those enjoying the great outdoors. The gazebo is a great place to put a string quartet for a garden party or a disc jockey when the teenagers would like to have a party in the garden. The musicians can play to their heart’s content while those around and about listen to the strains. The screened gazebo is a picturesque structure, and this structure will add to the scenery for those listening to the band. The musicians will not have to worry about a fly landing on their nose while they strum their instrument. Those inside the screened gazebo will have no obstructions to keep them from their music.
Screened Gazebos Can Be Easily Built for those Meals in the Yard
The pictures of gazebos are attractive and many think about putting one on their property. There are some great designs available for constructing a screened gazebo. Some of the guides are available for those who have no previous experience building a great gazebo. These guides provide step by step instructions so anyone that follows these completely will end up with a great screened gazebo. The guides make suggestions for all the best materials. These guides provide information on the best buys, and the choices that are available in the local home improvement stores.
Once the screened gazebo is in place, you will wonder how you ever did without it. The screened gazebo will be the perfect place for a picnic table or a couple of round patio tables. The screened gazebo will keep the flies away from the food that people are eating and the mosquitoes away from them. The guests will be surprised at the joy of eating outside on a beautiful day, and they will be pleasantly surprised that they are not harassed by the troublesome bugs.

Kristin Hersh performs ‘Gazebo Tree’ at Debaser, April 2nd, 2007, Sweden. The clip lacks two lines toward the end, and the sound is out of sync with the image (not on the orig. file, though, so will try and fix this eventually), but a really nice performance from an always impressive artist. The story at the beginning is about how an old woman on a bus inspired the song.
