How much should I expect to pay for a tent at my wedding?

Can you answer djrobby74’s question about Canopies?:

What is a cost estimate for a tent for 200 people? This wedding will be in Maine, in October of 2007. Also, i heard you can have the entire tent floored, instead of just having a dance floor. About how much will this cost?
I just want a rough price estimate from someone who has recently rented a tent w/ dance floor. Should be large enough for a wedding for 175 people

Canopies Feedback: I would say check with your local general rental place in your town, or the nearest larger city. It usually is charged a set up and take down fee, as well as a per hour usage. I have never heard of a tented floor (with the exception of the one they create).

    Good luck!

Canopies Feedback: i work at a rental store teh cost really depends on what surface the tent is going on and what kind of tables you will be using. you will be lookin at about 750 and up for just basic tents set up on grass and that is with out the flooring and that is just enough tent to seat the people. no dance floor no room for food. we are in pa im not sure what the pricing in maine is like. BOOK EARLY! and ask if they have cad to do a 3d lay out! allso check on the american rental associations website to find a rental store near u. they will be the most reliable source. also get estemants from the store and talk to their party planners. they are there to help u and they have done alot of wedding i asure u! good luck!

Canopies Feedback: It is going to be at least $1500, that is what the estimate we received. It is a lot more expensive…they have to bring everything out to the site…water, power, dance floor, etc. Good luck and congratulations.

Canopies Feedback: It depends on the size,. I had an outdoor wedding in Hawaii and my tent cost $2500 which included lighting and the generator for the lights. I think the tent size was something like 50′ x 30′ and had a clear top with leg wraps.

Canopies Feedback: We had just the tent with no floor for 150 people and it cost $400

You can look at b-n-t-tents.com, but I sugest calling actual rental places in your area. Prices varied here by up to $500

Canopies Feedback: I just got married in september and my wedding was much smaller. About 65 people. We rented the tent, tables and chairs. I would say you are looking at close to 2000.00 for the tent, tables chairs and dance floor. Do look around at different rental companies before you pick one. I found one that was way cheaper then another. They come to your house set the tent up for you and come back and take it down. You have to put the table and chairs up yourself. Good luck to you. Ps if your wedding goes into the evening you can pay them to put lights all around your tent also. It looks beautiful in the dark.

Canopies Feedback: I work for a tent rental co. Not in Maine, but most tents with dance floors cost around $750-900, not including tables and chairs, add an extra $200-400 for those and that is a grass set, asphalt, gravel, concrete, are extra costs

Hi, I am planning a wedding in Maine for next August. The estimates I have received have been around $8500 for a wedding of 160. This includes the tables, chairs, linens, dance floor, work tent for the caterer, etc. Where in Maine are you getting married? I can send you lists of tent companies if you would like?
